In this post, we show more attributes of Moon Grey, material of the company. Today, we do it with Moon Grey slabs pictures in two different finishes, flamed and honed.

Con un acabado flameado se obtiene una superficie con cierto relieve, rugosa, algo caracterizada y vítrea que proporciona un aspecto rústico al material, aunque sin cambio apreciable de color ni presencia de manchas o restos que denoten tratamiento. Se consigue con un aumento en la estabilidad de la cara a la alteración química atmosférica.

With a flamed finish we obtain a surface with a rough and rustic appearance with relief, but no color variation or spots of the treatment. This treatment increases the stability of the surface to atmospheric chemical alteration.

Con el acabado apomazado se consiguen superficies planas, lisas y mates sin ninguna marca visible. El tono que surge es más oscuro que con la mayoría de las otras terminaciones, lo que resalta mucho la estructura, textura y colores de la piedra. Se consigue mediante abrasión.

The honed finish makes the stone flat, smooth and matt, without any spot or scratch. The color is darker than other finishes and it stands out the structure, color and texture of the stone. This finish use to be applied in compact and hard stones by abrasion process.
